Index — Series 01

The Index series proposes a new category of accessory, rooted in a reflection on the evolution of the handbag — increasingly replaced by our pockets and garments in everyday use. Each Index piece transposes the codes of garments embedded in our collective imagination — Bomber jackets, denim jackets, Perfectos, Barbour jackets, duffle coats, hoodies, work pants — into the form of an accessory. “Index” refers to a working method based on synthesis and translation. The approach consists of identifying the elements through which a garment is immediately recognisable, and recomposing them as an accessory. What singularises each garment becomes the principle of composition for the accessory it generates. The Index pieces are primarily produced using materials sourced from the circular economy.
